At first we planned to use high density foam from a pet toy, however, we realized that this nosecone was too large and heavy and too difficult to cut.
To improve our nosecone we decided to use styrofoam instead of the high density foam due to the styrofoam's light weight and ability to be easily shaped.
Fins:
We began making 4 fins with cardboard and wrapped it in paper in order to strenghthen the fins but realized that the type of carboard we used was too weak and the paper just looked sloppy.
To improve our fins we started over and used stronger cardboard and made 3 instead of 4 fins as well as adding holes for design and uniqueness.
Parachute:
We started off by attaching 4 strings to our plastic bag but decided that that might not be strong enough.
To improve our parachute we added for additional strings to add strength and support.
